Experience

December 2024 – Current

Founder & Chief Executive Officer @ Office Hours AI

Naples, FL

Office Hours is an AI-powered tutoring platform that makes academic support accessible 24/7. Our AI tutors are modeled after real educators and delivered through interactive video and chat. Students receive personalized help across subjects like algebra, calculus, and physics in a friendly, real-time environment.

I founded Office Hours to bridge the gap between high-quality tutoring and affordability. I lead platform development, product design, and AI integration—including building a custom session engine and avatar system. I also oversee user research, school partnerships, and product-market fit strategy.

June 2024 – November 2024

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer @ CareerSkills AI

Mountain View, CA

CareerSkills helps organizations train employees in communication, empathy, and professionalism using conversational AI. We would create interactive simulations to prepare users for real-world workplace dynamics—ranging from handling client feedback to managing peer conflicts.

As co-founder, I directed all AI and UX components. I handled prompt engineering, system design, and AI integration, while also managing our development team and shaping our training scenario architecture. I also worked on B2B sales outreach and built onboarding pathways for partner organizations.

December 2020 – May 2024

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer @ Recly

Multiple Locations, US

As co-founder of Recly, I led efforts to build a community-centered platform connecting athletes and recreational players through local sports. The app allows users to sign up for events, find teammates or opponents at similar skill levels, and create a consistent routine for staying active.

I directly led and oversaw the design, development, and marketing teams. My work included leading product direction, testing growth strategies, and handling outreach to recreational leagues and facilities in the Research Triangle, NYC, and Bay Area.

Fall 2018 – Fall 2022

Senior Tutor  @ Duke University

Durham, NC

As a graduate assistant for Duke's Peer Tutor Program (PTP), I complete admin tasks such as interviewing, onboarding, and training tutors to help the PTP thrive. After serving as a tutor my freshman year, I was promoted to senior tutor in 2019, becoming the lead undergrad tutor for the program until my latest promotion.

The PTP provides services—both in small group and individual peer tutorial sessions—that help hundreds of Duke students each semester. I led tutorials all four undergraduate years of college, working with students in classes such as Calculus Functions, Calc I, Calc II, Multivariable Calculus, and Linear Algebra.

I am also an ambassador for Duke's Academic Resource Center; I promote Duke's tutorial services and engaged in student-facing outreach activities.

Fall 2019 – Spring 2022

Teaching Assistant @ Duke University

Durham, NC

Spring 2022: ME 571 – Aerodynamics (graduate class)
Fall 2021: ME 331 – Thermodynamics
Spring 2021: EGR 224 – Electrical Fundamentals of Mechatronics
Fall 2019: EGR 103 – Computational Methods in Engineering

As a teaching assistant for EGR 103 at Duke, I aided students in a Python-based introductory programming class. While the curriculum was centered on engineering applications of Python, basic Matlab skills were also taught. I held office hours, explained Python fundamentals in detail, and graded assignments. I then served as a teaching assistant for EGR 224—a Mechatronics course geared towards sophomore mechanical engineering students—where I had similar duties. The following semester, I worked as a Thermodynamics TA for sophomore and junior mechanical engineering students. In my final undergraduate semester, I was a TA for the graduate class Aerodynamics.
